We're on the hunt for a Social Media and Content Intern to help us tell the story of our 2026 season.

This is a remote, part-time internship (~1 day/week) with real creative ownership. The right person will know their way around a camera, understand social media inside out, and genuinely care about women's cycling.

Location: Remote (UK / Europe — Central Europe access a bonus) 

Commitment: Part-time, ~1 day/week (spread across the week) 

Duration: 6 months (to end of October) 

Remuneration: Unpaid, with a stipend and expenses available dependent on experience and activities undertaken

Women's cycling has never been more exciting — and Handsling Alba Development Road Team is right in the thick of it.

We're a Scottish-based UCI Continental women's development team giving talented riders the platform, support, and race programme they need to reach the top of the sport. With an ambitious European and UK race calendar and a story that genuinely matters, we're ready to tell it properly. 

We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic intern to help bring our world to life — from the grit of a rainy day on the cobbles in Belgium to the hard work put in behind the scenes by everyone involved with the team. 

If you love cycling, know your Reels from your carousels, and are enthusiastic for authentic storytelling, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Gathering, organising, and editing photo and video content capturing the real texture of team life — BTS, race-day action, and everything in between
  • Planning, managing and scheduling posts across social platforms, keeping content timely, consistent, and on-brand
  • Building community — responding to comments, amplifying fan content, and creating genuine audience connection
  • Contributing creative ideas to content planning and helping manage sponsor and partner content
  • Working alongside the Team Director, Commercial and Marketing Manager and riders to help build and execute a content and marketing strategy

What we're looking for

You don't need a CV full of professional experience — but you do need enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love of cycling. Specifically: 

  • Studying marketing, communications, media, or a related degree
  • Some experience planning and publishing content across social platforms — Instagram especially
  • A good eye for formats, trends, and what makes content grab attention
  • Real passion for cycling — you don't just understand the sport, you love it
  • Able to work independently, manage your time, and deliver remotely
  • Creative instincts and a curiosity about what the data is telling you
  • Always on the lookout for fresh ideas and new ways to grow an audience
